2025-03-14

Jiaxing Xinhan Technology Co., Ltd. is a factory that specializes in the production of various fasteners. The company's DIN7500 triangular tooth series is sold all over the world.

Triangular screws are a special type, self-cutting screw. Their tail is triangular, and so is their thread, which provides better locking performance and lower insertion torque. Here are the main information about the standard of triangular screws:

Thread specification

The thread specifications of triangle screws are the same as those of ordinary self-tapping screws. Common specifications include M1.0、M1.2、M1.4、M1.6、M1.8、M2 and so on.

Pitch

There are clear standards for the pitch of different thread specifications. For example, the pitch of an M1.0 screw is 0.2mm, and the pitch of an M1.2 screw is 0.25mm.

Tail size.

There are also standard provisions for the size of the tail of a triangular screws, including the height of the triangular teeth and the bottom diameter, etc.

Materials and Surface Treatment

Triangular screws are typically made of materials such as high-speed steel and alloy steel, and the surface treatment methods include galvanizing, nickel plating, and copper plating, etc., to improve their corrosion resistance.

National standard

The standard for triangular self-tapping screws is GB/T845-1985, which stipulates that the thread specifications for triangular self-tapping screws are ST2.2~ST9.5. This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO7049-1983.

Application features

Triangular screws have self-tapping properties, which are suitable for materials with high hardness (such as iron plates), and do not need additional nuts, which can save costs.
